Come taste the melodic wines and hear the smooth and rich sounds of Bonnie Tamblyn & Tom Nolan at the Double Eagle Resort's Wine Tasting & Song Pairing on Friday August 20th, 2010 from 4PM to 6PM. Admission is $25 at the door, $22 online.

Long-time friends and colleagues, Bonnie Tamblyn and Tom Nolan , have been in partnership since their children were born. Tom discovered Bonnie as a musician, artist and teacher who lived right next door in their Santa Monica enclave. Bonnie discovered Tom also as a teacher, troubador and leader of the Tom Nolan Band. Over the years, they have mentored each other and have developed an intuitive, creative partnership. They have watched their children grow up to be artists in their own right. Jesse Nolan, leader and seminal force of Red Arrow Messenger, and Amber Tamblyn, actress, poet and producer are also best friends and collaborators.

Tom Nolan is a musician, educator, and actor. For twenty years, he has been the front man and principal songwriter for the Tom Nolan Band, a blues-soul outfit out of Los Angeles. TNB is principally a dance band, and has played at festivals and events up and down the California Coast. They have seven CDS to their name. As an actor, Tom appeared in twenty movies and a couple of series. Tom has been Tom Nolanworking with youth for twenty-five years, and has been a mainstay in the council movement. He has been an administrator at the Crossroads School for the past fourteen years. Tom and Bonnie Tamblyn have been neighbors, collaborators, and co-conspirators in both musical and educational projects for twenty-five years.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Tom calls Los Angeles home. Tom has the good fortune to be married to playwright and teacher Peggy O'Brien. They have two grown children, Elizabeth and Jesse. Jesse is performing at the June Lake Music Festival as the frontman of the Red Arrow Messengers.

Bonnie Murray Tamblyn

Bonnie Murray Tamblyn is the driving force behind the June Lake Loop Mountain Music Festival. She’s has been the Artist in Residence for the June Lake Artist Guild’s children summer arts program. In 2004, Bonnie along with colleague Jeff Lee and their students produced the musical “Horse Shoe Canyon Review.” With the soul of a honky-tonk chanteuse, Bonnie has been performing with her band Blue Heaven since the 1960s, members of which now include Rick Huhnke & Bill Brumback (both original members of the band) and Topanga blues artist Johnny (Blue)Albert. Through every breath and with every lyric she celebrates the beauty and the majesty of her beloved High Sierra with musical treasures such as “Mountain Man,” “Tiger Bar,” and “The Bad Man from Bodie.” In 2007, performances by Bonnie and Blue Heaven were featured in a documentary film, “Reunion” produced by Rebel Asylum Pictures. Last year Bonnie toured with her daughter, Amber Tamblyn (actress, poet, and singer), promoting Amber's new book Bang Ditto. The mother-daughter team provided and outstanding literary event for colleges and clubs across the United States. Bonnie is married to Russ Tamblyn of West Side Story fame. Mrs. Tamblyn is a talented songwriter, composing the theme song for TV show “Easy Way Gourmet” and country hit “When I’m Gone,” performed by Dottsy.
