The SONGWRITER'S SHOWCASE features a whole host of local talent from June Lake, CA. Including you host Andy "Bongo" Borza and the talented writers Michael Bogash, Tavish "T-Bag" Thomas, Jessica Roselius, Chris "Wildman" Wehby, Molly Ginther, "June Lake" Jake Thomson,Will Gallivan, Meagan Chew, and of course their talented Accompanists! We are in for a treat at this year's SONGWRITER'S SHOWCASE on Friday, July 28, 2011 (8PM to MIDNIGHT) at the Sierra Inn's T-Bar!
Andy "Bongo" Borza - Welcome back to the Songwriter Showcase 2011 held at The Legendary Sierra Inn T-Bar experience! I am thankful to Host this event once again! I feverishly spent the last year with a passion to bring you the most unique,authentic,mind blowing talent the High Sierra's has ever seen!! Our success last year fueled a fire of dedication within me, to scour the countryside for talent! Each year our production team creates unique and mind blowing ideas...... even the largest of Hollywood producers can't touch!! This year our Songwriters Showcase event will leave the audience baffled with musical pleasure and raw talent admiration for those musicians that tell there story in each artists own way! So, come on down to the Songwriters Showcase on July,28th! Show starts at 8pm sharp and expect the biggest audience ever! Thank you so much for supporting this fun community event!!! Michael Bogash, native Californian and part time June Lake resident has been playing and writing music for 30 plus years. Recently he has been performing at singer songwriter venues in Southern California. His live performances were born from the impromptu appearances in the small bars of the San Fernando Valley in the late 70’s and early 80’s. After taking a hiatus from performing in order to raise his family, Michael recorded the album “The Road”, which was reviewed by Tradebit as “A folk/rock album with striking lyrics and beautiful harmonies. Sounds like Ray Lamontagne ate Neil Young”. A review on ITunes reads “ Every once in a while an artist comes along who is original and sincere in their approach to their craft. Michael Bogash personifies such an artist. Tavish"T-Bag" Thomas, the unexpected offspring of Texas rock legend Fred Thomas; Tavish "T-Bag" Thomas discovered his bearings early in life, sneaking booze in smoke filled, seedy Texas Blues bars and biker hangouts. His talents were apparent at an early age as he dominated family and neighborhood Easter egg hunts for over two decades. Envy and fear from teary eyed children fueled his passion for Lone Star chupicabra wrangling and his keen interest in designer denim britches. Inevitably, his Scottish blood and musical ambition beckoned the Texan to the California highlands to nurture his internal renegade creativity! The June Lake LOOP will never be the same!
Jessica Roselius, a seasoned Dallas girl living a SLO life! A girl with a passion for creative music and everything that surrounds it! Musician...writer....story teller! June Lake and it's Loopers have a big piece of her heart! "The vibe in this town is incredible!!! So...Magical!!!" Although she is a long way from her hometown, playing the guitar here, feels just like sitting her porch back home singing grandma her favorite tune!! "I Love June Lake.. Chris "Wildman" Wehby - Man... I never thought anyone would like my "Country Fried Steak" Song! This event hosted by June Lakes very own musical mastermind....Bongo Borza, has built my confidence in ways only a seasoned pilot would know! Humm. This year I have a couple new songs that will flabbergast everyone in the audience! This night will surely be filled with humor, intrigue, and magical LOOPER memories!! See you on July 28th!! Molly Ginther - Last year, the June Lake Loop Music Festival's Songwriters Showcase gave me the opportunity to debut my first original song. I also got the chance to work alongside some amazing and incredible talent. I'm back this year with more songs--ready to go! Thanks June Lake for all the inspiration. Hope you like what you hear!

"June Lake" Jake Thompson - June Lake is my favorite place in the world. I really agree with Bonnie Tamblyn when she first said "June Lake Deserves a Music Festival". It will be my honor and pleasure to preform some of my original songs for the third annual June Lake Music Festival's Song Writers showcase hosted by Bongo Borza. My sources tell me the talent this year will be top notch. I can't wait myself and hope to see you there.
Will Gallivan - Santa Barbara native, Will Gallivan was delivered into a music household. From a very young age, Will Gallivan would teeter around the house holding plastic guitars and singing at the top of his lungs. Today, with much of the same swagger, Will Gallivan has grown into his own skin with songs like: "Don't Worry" and "She Crys". :Will would say, "I just write songs." but Will's songs are his method of deep reflection and projection of his feelings that the listener can come to deeply connect and understand. Meagan Chew - Meagan has been performing since the age of four and has thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. She has been part of over 30 plays and musicals and has done various solo acts throughout the Conejo Valley. Aside from being on stage, she has been skiing at June Mountain since she was 3 years old and her family bought a cabin 2 years ago and has unofficially become a part of the Mono county population. Her passion, other than performing, is singing and writing songs. She would like to thank her parents for putting up with her being a bratty teenager, Andy for letting her have this amazing opportunity, and her dog Cinnamon for barking at the strange people who walk by the house while Meagan is practicing.
