Ooolation! is a summer vocal experience that carries folk inspired choir music from the great outdoors to the stage.  This group of unique and powerful young singers camp in Aspens above Mono basin for an intense session of singing, and performance. Their rustic off-the-grid lifestyle on a private nature preserve, is like living in a storybook of music.  Under the guidance of some highly acclaimed performers and composers, they launch a show with soaring melodies, transcendent harmonies, and vivid vocal and percussive textures. Many are just now back from Australia where they were featured in the Festival of Voices in Tasmania. Their director and hammer dulcimer virtuoso, Malcolm Dalglish will perform solo selections bringing you interactive antics on spoons, bones, and body percussion.  For the past 10 years here in the Mono basin, The Ooolation singers have become a popular late summer surprise with their show celebrating the splendor of the Eastern Sierra with songs from all over the world - Splashes of dulcimer, dazzling dance, and a soaring, spiritual feast of voices that'll pull you right up into the sky.
