Come see the Standells at The Great Outdoors Concert! ($20 at the door, $18 online) Born in the beach blanket paradise of early 60’s Los Angeles, godfathers of punk rock The Standells shook radio waves all over the world with their hit single "Dirty Water," which reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 11, 1966. The band was originally formed by guitarist Tony Valentino and organist Larry Tamblyn and soon included the talents of vocalist and drummer Dick Dodd and bassist Gary Lane. In the mid-60’s they toured with The Rolling Stones. In 2004 they reunited to perform at Fenway Park in Boston before the World Series.
